XML Data to Relational Database Storage Mapping Technique

XML is rapidly emerging as the dominant standard for representing data in WWW. Relational database systems and XML are widely used on the Web. To realize XML's applications potentials, its effective storage is the first faced technique; Relational database system is a mature technique and could be used to support XML data storage. This paper briefly surveys typical relational approaches for XML storage and introduces XML storage technique in database vendors.
