Microprogramming Development System

YH Leung, J. Attikiouzel · 1978

This paper describes the implementation of a microprogramming development system, uDS. The uDS is based on an Intel 8080A microprocessor and replaces the control store ROM of a microprogrammed computer control unit with RAM. The microprogram stored in the control store RAM can then be changed easily during the development state. A feature of the uDS is the ability for the user to program the control store RAM into a number of fields, each of different bit length.
