A user of Macintosh computers may wish to run the computer using the Windows operating system in order to access software programs only available to the Windows OS and unavailable in Macintosh versions. There are additional reasons why a Macintosh user may wish to use the Windows OS - for instance, outdated software may be capable of being run within the current Windows OS while incapable of being run within the current Macintosh OS.
