Technologies for Distributed Database Systems

Anca Georgiana Fodor · SSRN Electronic Journal · 2007

Distributed applications has a high complexity degree but their programming simplification and the perspective of the possibility to realize components based software leads to the emergence of few models for object oriented distributed architecture. One of the mainly problems of distributed processing refers on software components integration into an unique and heterogeneous environment [BURA04]. Heterogeneousness in distributed systems [VINO97] came from many factors: the choose of different technical solutions, the solution was choose depending exclusively on costs, inherited informatics systems. In the last years, few technologies was parallel developed for object oriented distributed systems, the most notable of them where CORBA, DCOM, RMI, Jini.
