Iteration Method for Absolute Value Equation and Applications in Two-point Boundary Value Problem of Linear Differential Equation

Longquan Yong · Journal of Interdisciplinary Mathematics · 2015

An iterative method for absolute value equation (AVE) Ax – ∣x∣ = b, where A is an arbitrary square matrix whose singular values exceed one, is presented. The method converges to solution of AVE after finite iterations. Finally, this method is applied to solve two-point boundary value problem. Numerical experiments show that this method has advantages of less number of iterations and high precision.
