Gastro-intestinal image processing and neural network based classification of abnormalities

This project provides computer-based assistance to doctors in the detection of colo-rectal cancer. Three key areas were investigated and new algorithm was developed in the image-processing arena. New parametric features were extracted, and used by the artificial neural networks for status classification of the colon.
