This paper introduces an on-site tutoring program in our department. It examines how this tutoring program influences the students' performance in the first introductory programming class. This tutoring program is delivered by the upper level CS students, hosted in the department, and supported by STEM grants at a public liberal arts university. After a two-year study, we conclude that the tutoring program is most beneficial for 'C' students. More specifically, the study shows that the tutoring program positively increased the percentage of 'C' students by comparing those who visited the tutoring program and those who did not. The percentage of C students increased while the percentage of D-F students decreased. However, the data cannot show the evidence that the program has positively changed the grade distributions for 'A', or 'B' students; neither for 'W' students.
