A Simplified Expression for the Minimum Length of Linear Low-Pass Fir Digital Filters

A simple empirical formula for minimum length of linear low-pass FIR digital filters is proposed here based on least square fitting of curves. Error is calculated and compared with the Rabiner's formula.
