In user acceptance testing (UAT), there are two essential requirements for a test suite (defined as the set of test cases used for testing), namely (a) the complete coverage of all possible transaction types of a program, and (b) a manageable size because of the testing resource constraints encountered by most software testers when conducting a UAT. Motivated by these two requirements, several test suite construction methods, such as the category-partition method and the classification-tree method, have been developed. In this paper, we propose a methodology to improve the cost-effectiveness of conducting UAT with test suites generated by these methods.
