Microcomputer Design and Management for Non-programmers
AJ Rollinson · 1981
This paper presents a design approach and technique for microprocessor-based projects which provide all of the following advantages - (1) The designer need not be a programmer; (2) Function changes can be made to the design easily ; (3) The designer can effectively manage a design team of both hardware and software 'experts' ; (4) The person with overall responsibility for the project has a means of monitoring its progress; and (5) It provides a basis for well-documented software. We have used the technique with considerable success and believe it offers significant advantages to both managers and design teams. This finding acted as the stimulus for this paper.
