Notes on resection computation

THE recent paper by G. H. Halliday entitled “Resection by the Graphical Method” in The Australian Surveyor (March, 1962, Vol. 18, No. 3) leaves several important facets untouched. These admittedly were not directly the subject of his paper which was to comment on a paper by H. Werner (September, 1960), but as the points were raised in both papers perhaps futher discussion may prove to be fruitful.
