Minicomputer Based Microprocessor Development System
J. P. Trevelyan · 1977
A microprocessor development system was implemented by interfacing a controller device to a minicomputer. The controller permits a program within the minicomputer to control the operation of the microprocessor in order to test programs written for the microprocessor. This saves having to purchase a full development system if minicomputer facilities are already available. The hardware and software was developed for a Hewlett Packard 21MX minicomputer and an Intel 8080 microprocessor.
