The Graphical EXPERT Environment for Water Resources Models

The features of a friendly, graphics based environment, which encompasses network creation, data entry, knowledge-based data checking, model execution and post-processing of results are described. It is concluded that the EXPERT environment will allow water resources engineers to devote more time to gaining an insight and understanding of their problems rather than devoting most of their time to the mechanical tasks of entering and checking data, getting a program to run and interpreting reams of text output.
