A Multimicroprocessor System for Supervision and Control of Distributed Plants
A. Cantoni · UWA Profiles and Research Repository (University of Western Australia) · 1979
A multimicroprocessor system has been developed to meet the requirements of a wide range of applications involving supervisory and control functions in a distributed plant. The system is comprised of a base station which can communicate with remote station over a line shared dedicated serial network. The base and remote status use the same hardware modules. A flexible software system enables the display of information to be easily tailored for individual users. Information is presented on a specially developed multipage visual display unit. Various aspects of the design of the software and hardware modules are described in the paper.
