Using the Velocity Template Language

Rob Harrop · Apress eBooks · 2004

In the previous two chapters, I showed you many different examples that generate some form of output using Velocity. However, they have been trivial at best and have served more to highlight the Java API than to demonstrate how to use the Velocity Template Language (VTL). In this chapter, I’ll explain all VTL constructs that are available out of the box with the standard Velocity distribution. I’ll also demonstrate some of the more pervasive extensions included in the VelocityTools project. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
