Differentiated Instruction in the Physics Technology Department of Secondary School No. 710, Moscow

The physics technology department of General Education Polytechnical School No. 710, in the city of Moscow, gives its pupils a complete secondary general and polytechnical education. It also gives vocational training. Here the pupils learn to be radio assemblers and mechanics, and by the time they finish school they can work at radio manufacturing plants, and in shops that build, repair and adjust all kinds of radio apparatus, in the physics laboratories of educational institutions and research institutes, in industrial laboratories, and in various industrial enterprises, where automation and electronics are widely used. This special training in electronics enables the pupils to acquire the profession of physics laboratory technician quickly, inasmuch as radio apparatus and electronic methods find the widest application in physics today.
