Subroutines have been developed that implement the operations of addition (subtraction), multiplication, and division in significant digit arith metic on the CDC 6600.Associated input-output routines are also presented that consider the precision of operands.An initial set of library routines has been prepared that includes the trigonometric functions and their inverses, as well as the logarithm and exponential functions.These have the property that the precision of the dependent variable reflects that of the independent variable.Comparison of times with FORTRAN equivalents is given.
