Design of a Portable UV Imaging System for the Corona Detection

In this paper, a portable ultraviolet imaging system based on AlGaN is reported for the corona detection. The principle and characteristics of the system is analyzed. With the direct memory access (DMA) mode, a high-speed data transfer interface between the ARM and FPGA is designed. Additionally, the approach of writing the driver of this interface in embedded Linux operation system is detailed illustrated. The imaging results show that the system can work steadily to achieve the real-time monitoring of the UV signal.
