Digital resources resulting from research projects will often languishonce the project ends. Lack of funding for resource maintenance,resource non-interoperability and closed-content licenseformats contribute to this. At the Swedish Language Bank, Universityof Gothenburg, we are now integrating a number of existingfree lexical resources into a new open-content resource for Swedishlanguage technology applications. We ensure interoperabilityamong resources by using the standardized SALDO lexicon senseand lemgram identifiers as pivot. On top of the integrated resource,we are defining a Swedish framenet, reusing a considerable amountof linguistic knowledge already encoded in the existing resources.2
