Aspects of Data Allocation in Distributed Database Systems

Anca Georgiana Fodor · SSRN Electronic Journal · 2007

Database allocation problem was initially studied like simple files allocation on the computer network, and after that, in the distributed database systems context. The files allocation problem does not take care of the file semantic processing, toward the database allocation problem in which the interdependence between multiple accesses to the fragments due by an application is considered. This research presents some data allocation aspects used in distributed database systems.
