A Coverage Expansion Method in Cooperative Wireless Sensor Networks with Mobile Robots

In this paper, we suggest a network coverage expansion method in use of mobile robots in the environment of wireless sensor networks. It mentions a possible problem of coverage hole when a sensor network is composed of static sensor nodes and describes the method for efficient expansion of network coverage in use of mobile robots under such environment. Through cooperative communication between mobile robots and wireless sensor networks, it confirmed what network coverage is expanded by the implemented scenario.
