Counting the number of permutation polynomials representing various cycle structures
Steven Darrell Young · ThinkTech (Texas Tech University) · 1993
The purpose of this paper is to count how many permutations of a particular cycle structure are representable as polynomials of degree q- 2 over the finite field GF( q = pn ). Three different cycle structures will be studied.
