Purpose: Spatial distribution of attention in three dimensional space was examined with a useful field of view (UFOV) task* (Fig. 2). In daily life situations (e.g., reading, cooking, driving, or playing sports), visual attention plays an important role in detecting, perceiving, and recognizing visual objects accurately and quickly. Spatial distribution of attention have been investigated extensively in two dimensional space. However, research on attentional distribution in three dimensional space is scarce.
