An optical spark chamber experiment has been performed to test the validity of the AS = AQ weak interaction selection rule for the decay i t K° (K°) + e V« Analysis of the time distribution of 342 decays has given the•complex ratio, xi of the AS = -AQ to AS =.AQ amplitudes to be Re(x) = -0.13+0.11and Im(x) = -0.0410.16which is consistent with no violation of the•AS = AQ rule.*
