Software Implementation of Elliptic Curve Operations in a Class of Finite Fields

Until now, efficient operations of elliptic curve defined over GF(2ⁿ) use an irreducible trinomial[12, 13]. We implement field operations of GF(2ⁿ) using irreducible all one polynomial(AOP) and elliptic curve operations defined over GF(2ⁿ) Experimental data shows that software implementation using all one polynomial is faster than that of GF(2ⁿ) using a trinomial.
