this paper, we explore a number of implementation approaches for the quorum consensus protocol by using a simulation model to evaluate their relative performance. The paper is organized as follows: In Section 2, we begin with an overview of replica control protocols. The four implementation approaches for implementing the quorum consensus protocol are described in Section 3. We describe the simulation model in Section 4 and present the results in Section 5.
