A Simple Algorithmic State Machine with Teaching and Other Applications

In this paper, a simple class 3 algorithmic state machine realization is discussed together with two alternative forms of the ASM chart which represent it. The machine described is general in the sense that its specific operation at any time is determined by a reprogrammable PROM, the contents of which are derived from the ASM chart representation of the machines functions.
