TRANSPORT OBJECT PLATFORM (TOP)

This paper presents a new rule-based, object-oriented model for describing public transport systems. The implementation of this approach--the Transport Object Platform (TOP)--utilizes the new object-oriented approach now available in GIS to handle topologic complexities beyond the possibilities of earlier, nonobject-oriented GIS.
