Control effects of insecticide fog sprayed by smoke machine on adult Citrus psylla.

In order to find an effective method to control adult citrus psylla,an experiment was conducted to study the control effects of insecticide fog sprayed by smoke machine on adult citrus psylla in greenhouse and citrus orchard.The results of greenhouse experiment showed that the control effect of treatment A1(80 % dichlorvos EC∶48 %chlorpyrifos EC∶diesel oil=1∶1∶6) was best.With spraying fog of 11400 mL/ hm2 A1(80 % dichlorvos EC∶48 %chlorpyrifos EC∶diesel oil=1∶1∶6) for 2,5,10 and 15 min,its control effect reached 100.0 % 24 hours after spraying.The control effect would decline with increasing dosage of diesel oil and increase with increasing temperature.The results of citrus orchard trial showed that the control effect of 15000 mL/hm2 A1(80 % dichlorvos EC∶48 %chlorpyrifos EC∶diesel oil=1∶1∶6) reached 92.6 %.It was indicated that the method that spraying insecticide fog by smoke machine could also effectively control the adult citrus psylla in field.
