A study on the door interface design

The purpose of this study is to investigate user's interaction in digital space from a new perspective. Assuming that some similarities are found in the user's interaction between digital space and real world, we focused on a spatial aspect of the interface, then developed the concept of 'Door Interface'. Next, we analyzed some examples of smart phone interfaces where the door interface are applied. As a result, we found some Door Interfaces in smartphone showed similar forms and interactions of physical doors. To conclude, we can infer that studies on diverse forms and interaction of doors can lead to designing for Door Interface in digital space.
