Using SQL*Plus and iSQL*Plus

Sam R. Alapati · Apress eBooks · 2003

You can connect to and work with the Oracle9 i database in many ways. Chances are, though, that you’ll spend a lot of time using the Oracle SQL*Plus interface and a set of commands known as SQL*Plus commands. SQL*Plus is the Oracle user interface for interacting with a database. You can perform all database administration tasks, including starting and stopping the instance, through this single interface. Thus, the importance of this utility has grown even further in the Oracle9 i version. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
