Japanese electronics giant Hitachi has many different divisions - ranging from consumer electronics to earthmoving equipment. But by far the most interesting and, some would say, controversial Hitachi division is the one that deals with security. And it is this part of the company that has invented what some say is the next 'big thing' in terms of access control.
