Discrete summation synthesis and hybrid sampling-wavetable synthesis of acoustic instruments with genetic algorithms

This paper introduces an automated genetic algorithm method that determines discrete summation synthesis and hybrid sampling-wavetable synthesis for matching an arbitrary harmonic instrument tone. Results are given for both techniques on various instruments.
