UTILIZATION OF OUTSIDE-IN INNOVATION INPUT FOR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Open Innovation makes the company’s border permeable for knowledge exchange. However transferring Open Innovation input into the company (outside-in innovation) and applying it in product development poses the problem of processing it specific to the needs of the recipients. To utilize outside-in innovation input in product development we contribute a process-related approach consisting of the steps (1) Collection, (2) Operationalization, and (3) Substantiating Results.
