Totally usable: Evaluating interactive multimedia

Fiona Ingram · Metro Magazine: Media & Education Magazine · 1996

Usability evaluation is a method of trying out the design of a product to see if it is understandable, usable and appropriate for the target audience. It is important to include this step while designing and developing multimedia products to ensure the completed product will meet the needs and requirements of the target audience. A product that doesn't has little chance of acceptance and is unlikely to be used. The best way to find out if a product measures up to its goals and objectives is to have representatives from the target audience evaluate it.
