The multiprocessor system may be degraded by system components failures. In this paper, We address modeling and analysis of multiprocessor system availability. Stochastic reward nets (SRN) is an extension of stochastic Petri nets and provides compact modeling facilities for system analysis. Weibull failure distribution is more suitable for components failure than exponential distribution. We develop Weibull failure distribution SRN model for processor failure rate and apply this model to multiprocessor availability model. Availability is measured for three repair strategies as numerical results. One of the key contributions of this paper constitutes the Petri nets modeling techniques instead of complicate numerical analysis of Markov chains and easy way of availability analysis for a multiprocessor system under SRN reward concepts.
