A New Bearing-Only Localization Method for Multiple Sensors

A new bearing-only localization method for multiple sensors is presented. Traditional least-square algorithm is applied in case of transforming nonlinear observation equations to linear equations by Taylor formula nearby the reference point. This paper transforms nonlinear observation equations to linear equations directly, and then applied LS algorithm to find solution, which requires neither the reference point information, nor iterative calculations. The computer simulation result conforms the algorithm has better performance, which is valuable in engineering application.
