A PARALLEL OPERATION OF QUANTUM SERIES RESONANT CONVERTERS

A multi-loop control technique for quantum series resonant converters (QSRC's) connected in parallel is investigated in this paper. Using the proposed control technique, the undershoot and overshoot of the output voltage caused by the abrupt load change or power module failure can be much reduced and the uniform current distribution among the active power modules can also be available. Furthermore, the number of the active power modules can be properly controlled according to the load conditions. Consequently, the power transfer capability and reliability of the power system can also be much improved.
