Investigation of the influence of additional criteria upon the quality of programs for searching peaks

The influence of additional criteria upon the quality of programs for the automatic search for peaks in line spectra has been studied. A modeling experiment on a computer was used to study the usefulness of such criteria for improving the quality of peak identification. Our results show that additional criteria either improve only slightly the quality of search programs or even deteriorate their quality.
