A Web-based Networked Display User Interface for Smart Meeting Spaces

With the recent advances in ubiquitous computing environment there have been ongoing efforts to provide a scalable and elegant multi-party collaboration solution. SMeet (smart meeting space) is one such solution that offers an effective multi-party remote collaboration environment. Such meeting spaces may consist of heterogeneous display systems like networked tiled display, projector display and so on. In this paper we explore a flexible and easy-to-use web-based user interface tool for networked display control and management under the SMeet environment. We describe its design based on networked display and service-oriented Web 2.0 principles. Also, prototype implementation is made and evaluated to verify its usefulness.
