Nonlinear Analog Filters for Order Statistics Signal Processing
Kiichi Uraharna, Takeshi Nagao · International Symposium on Information Theory and its Applications · 1994
An analogue method is developed for selecting a rank order element directly from a set of samples. Simple non-linear equations are presented for the order statistic and the weighted order statistic and these equations are implemented with analogue MOS circuits. The circuit contains no sorting subsystem and no clock signal. The length of wiring in the circuit is proportional only linearly to the number of input samples.
