Recent investigations have shown the particle tracking method to be a viable and efficient method for solving equations describing nonreactive mass transport in porous media. The approach is particularly useful for solving multidimensional, densely gridded problems, is readily implemented on parallel and vector architecture computers, and may be extended for use in multicomponent or nonconservative problems. In this paper, we briefly outline a specific framework in which the method can be applied to reactive problems and demonstrate its use to solve a particular diffusion-reaction system described by the so-called Fisher's Equation. 12 refs., 2 figs.
