Wave-nets and Their Potential Application in Engineering Modelling

In this paper, we describe the relationship between neural networks and approximation theory. A brief description of wave-nets and their potential applications to chemical engineering problems are discussed and a typical example is presented. The wave-net algorithm has been implemented on a 486 personal computer using the MATLAB package.
