Electronic Signatures: Understand the Past to Develop the Future

Electronic signatures must emulate the minimum security and trust requirements that are embodied in traditional signatures, in order to be accepted by commerce, the judiciary, and the general public. It is submitted that all electronic signature software should possess the properties like electronic signatures should not be capable of being easily removed without trace from their documents and electronic signature software should establish a trusted path between memory, the display-screen, and the key-board.
