Network supervision is the fact of collecting the necessary informations on the state of the infrastructure and the entities used therein, analyze and report them. It allows having a global view of the operation and potential problems on a network EON (EyesOfNetwork) is a complete solution to monitor the network while integrating the ITIL approach, it is currently distributed under the GPL and it gathers many tools of supervision: network Supervision with NAG IOS, NAGIOSBP and NAGVIS, Performance Management with CACTI, WEATHERMAP and a configuration interface with backup.
