Simulation of Hydroelectric System Control

Bruce Gatland · 1998

Modem digital computers provide a convenient means for implementation of dynamic system simulation. Originally the study of the stability of hydroelectric generating systems used electronic analogue computers{3,4} which were expensive, limited in capability and application. Nevertheless they did provide direct real-time integration. Development of the simulation of the control of a hydrogenerating plant using SIMULINK is described. This package permits the graphical assembly of operational blocks to form dynamic simulations of effectively unlimited size.
