On‐Site Troubleshooting Techniques

Mark I. Montrose, Edward M. Nakauchi · 2004

This chapter illustrates how to identify various RF fields. Once identified, an examination on various debug and troubleshooting techniques is presented. The majority of troubleshooting techniques are conventional. Some may be unorthodox; however, all techniques presented have a record of debugging EMI problems quickly with minimal cost. It must be pointed out that by no means are the techniques mentioned in this chapter the only ones available. The authors hope that the techniques and suggestions presented not only act as guidelines for the reader but also are an inspiration for developing the reader's own techniques.
