Adaptive waveform selection with a neural network (radar performance optimisation)

Some factors are discussed that affect radar performance in a maritime environment. A brief description is given of the radar performance model, the backpropagation neural network and the simulated annealing technique used to optimise radar performance. Some results of this approach to adaptive waveform selection are presented, and conclusions drawn.
