Some delitescent concepts in computer architecture
George E. Lindamood · ACM SIGPLAN Notices · 1978
As someone has said, "If things weren't as they are, they would be different." With that in mind, I began to think about why some things are as they are in computer architecture. I tried to imagine what things would be like if something were bigger or smaller or if the reverse or obverse of some situation or concept were operant. What I came up with were a few ideas in the vein of the "COME FROM" statement in programming languages. 1 Perhaps they will set you to thinking, too.
