USING GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION IN TRAVEL DEMAND MODEL NETWORK DEVELOPMENT
William Thomas, Timm Hoffman · 1997
This paper describes a practical application of software that enables a MINUTP (a PC-based transit transportation and highway forecasting software)/ArcView (a desktop geographic information system (GIS) software) network linkage. The application entails capabilities that have been developed within MINUTP to easily allow and maintain travel demand model networks in ArcView. In addition to addressing the capabilities and features of the software that allows the linkage, a case study is presented regarding subarea network development.
